B 04 PortreHe was born on 21st March, 1969.

He started his karate training at the age of 13. He qualified for the black belt when he was 16 and became an instructor. He came first in competitions held in Adana, Southern Cities, Istanbul, international organizations held in Turkey and abroad, which he joined as a member of the National Team.

He worked as a model and an actor for a long period (between 1987 and 1999). He took part in fashion shows based on music and dance, which first started to appear in 1993, as the principal dancer, model and choreographer. He came first in competitions organized by some newspapers as the best TV/Cinema actor, he was the second Best Model of Turkey and he achieved the first or second awards at the competitions; The Most Attractive Man in the World.

In 2000, he went to America, where he believed, he could have the best training of the sports like Tae-Bo and Kickboxing, which were starting to become very popular in those days. On his return, he gave lessons and seminars on Tae-bo in the most prestigious sports clubs in Istanbul.

His first encounter with Tango Argentino was on 28th February, 2004 and he fell in love with tango on the very first lesson. After only one and a half years, he started to teach tango upon many requests.

He was elected as a member of the educational committee of the Turkish Dance Federation, which was founded in 2007, on the branch of tango, and within the same year he was entitled to be one of the first trainers and judges with a certificate from the General Directorate of Youth and Sports.

B 03 HayatIn order to improve his dance and to have a style of his own, Bora travelled with his wife, Didem, to many countries like Argentina, France, Italy, Holland, Spain, Greece, and Germany, where the most popular festivals are held. Some of the trainers he practised with in groups or private sessions are; Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne, Chicho Frumboli & Eugenia, Adrian Veredice & Alejandra Hobert, Ezequiel Paludi & Sabrina Masso, Maurico Castro & Carla Marano, Los Hermanos Macanos, Javier Rodriguez & Geraldine Rojas, Eric Jeurissen, Nancy & Damian, Fabian & Carolina, Esteban & Claudia, Julio & Corina, El Pajaro & Mecha, Roberto Herrera & Jorgelina, Julio & Veronique, Mingo Pugliese, Pablo & Dana, Ezequiel Paludi & Geraldine Rojas, Mario & Anabella, Sebastian Arse & Mariana Montes, Javier Rodriguez & Andrea Misse, Miguel Zotto, Sebastian Misse & Andrea, Pablo Inza & Moira Castellano.

Besides tango, he also has had training on Latin dances with Aytunç Bentürk and Yağız Bankoğlu.

Bora Erdem graduated from Haliç University, School of Physical Education and Sports with honours, and during his sports career, he acquired certificates from the General Directorate of Youth and Sports as a level-3 fitness trainer, a level-2 Argentinian tango trainer, 4th grade karate dan and a level-3 karate trainer.

Seeing exercise as the most important parameter to improve mental and physical health and to elevate the standard of life, Bora has the motto;
